Width × height of each wall (in metres) gives you m². Subtract big openings like windows, doors and patio doors using the "openings" field. Ceilings are length × width of the room. When in doubt, round up.

What changes the price
Wallpapered walls need stripping before anything else, which adds time. Outdoor work needs weatherproof systems and often access equipment. Plastering and plasterboard add material and drying time. The calculator reflects all of these in its ranges.

The honest caveat
No calculator can see your walls. Victorian lime plaster, hairline cracks and damp all change a job, and twenty years has shown us most of it. Treat this as a budgeting tool, then ask us for a fixed written quote.
